The inaugural concert of Wermland Early Music Festival welcomes the fantastic students at Ingesund College of Music for an evening to remember. Centred around Handel’s opera Giulio Caesare and his passionate relationship with Egyptian Queen Cleopatra, this performance will include opera scenes alongside orchestral- and chamber music works by our most beloved baroque composers.

Walking among the Stars

This is a unique opportunity to experince actress Stina Ekblad reciting the poetry of Edith Södergran alongside Mime Brinkmann's blissful interpretations of Bach's cello suites.

The quick rise in popularity that coffee enjoyed in 18th century Europe wasn't appreciated by everyone. In JS Bach's comic 'Coffee-Cantata' a young woman's obsession with the drink meets resistance from her hysterical father. All in a Swedish translation where entertainment lives alongside divine music.
